A TABLE TOP SALE will be held after each Mass next weekend 25/26th July to raise funds to support the work of the friars in the Holy Land.

AS YOU ARE AWARE, SEPTEMBER 1ST – OCTOBER 4TH is when the Christian family unites worldwide in prayer and action to care for our common home. We each share a common call to care for creation, and this year's theme is "Living Water", inspired by the vision the prophet Ezekiel had thousands of years ago. To help you prepare in advance and mark this season, the Caritas Brentwood team are pleased to share a collection of resources we have designed for flexible use in your parish. ON WEDNESDAY, 7 OCTOBER, CHELMSFORD KNIGHTS OF ST. COLUMBA will be presenting their Annual Lecture on the topic “Why Youth Ministry?”. The speaker will be Fr. Michael Barwick, one of the Diocese of Brentwood’s most experienced ministers to young people. After leaving St. John Payne School, Fr. Michael spent several years at the Diocese’s Youth Retreat Centre at Walsingham House, becoming the manager. He trained as a priest at St. Mary’s College, Oscott and was ordained five years ago. He has been involved in presenting the Flame Festival, run by the Catholic Youth Movement for England and Wales. Fr. Michael will be talking about Christian Youth Work, how it is undertaken and what it aims to achieve. His talk will interest anyone working with young people, volunteers or professionals, in schools, parishes or youth services, but also anyone involved with Religious Education or pastoral care. The talk will be at St. Augustine’s Church, Springfield (CM1 6GQ) at 8pm on Wednesday, 7 October. There is ample parking at the church.

PARISH MEMBERSHIP. We are aware that some people have left the parish and while others have joined us. To those newly arrived we say welcome and wish you a peaceful time here. We hope and pray that your coming to St. Patricks will satisfy your need to have a meaningful relationship with God and help you to meet new friends. Do introduce yourself to Fr Marek & Fr. Freddy and register with the Parish Secretary and make sure you are known in case you plan to have a child receive a sacrament or apply for a place in a Catholic school.

WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A VOLUNTEER REPRESENTATIVE OF SPUC (Society for the Protection of Unborn Children) in our parish. Would anybody be interested? Please contact Parish Office.

MASS SERVER. We invite you to share this special privilege of becoming an active altar server in our parish. You must have made your First Holy Communion, be a member of our parish and be not older than 15 years old. For more information and application forms please contact the Parish Office.
