TWENTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

ON TUESDAY 8th SEPTEMBER at 9:30am Mass we will celebrate Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary known as Our Lady’s Birthday.

SECOND COLLECTION. There will be a second collection next weekend 12th & 13th September at all Masses for Catholic Education Service. The Catholic Education Service (CES) acts on behalf of the Catholic Bishops' Conference to support Catholic education.

THE WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE CARE OF CREATION, celebrated on 1 September, is the official start of the Season of Creation, a time of sustained prayer and action which lasts a month and four days. During this season we are encouraged to pray and engage in community events in order to deepen our relationship with God, our neighbour and the earth we share, being ever more attentive to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION 2027. Forms for the First Holy Communion & Confirmation 2027 in our church will be available in December 2026. Please be aware, that we will need a copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate. (FHC children in year 4 in September 2026 and Confirmation youths in year 10 in September 2026).

WORLD APOSTOLATE OF FATIMA: On Saturday, 12th September the Diocese of Brentwood will host the Visitation of the National Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and the relics of Saints Jacinta & Francisco, at the Cathedral Church of St Mary and St Helen, Brentwood. This will be a Day of Prayer & Devotions, with the opportunity for the veneration of the relics. Bishop Alan accompanied by Priests of the Diocese will concelebrate Holy Mass (10:30am), this will be followed by the Consecration Prayer of the Diocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Bishop Alan.
