NOVEMBER DEAD LIST- November is the month when we remember our dearly departed. We remember them and pray for them out of gratitude for all they did and were for us. We remember all those who, down the years by their faith, their Christian witness, their heroic deeds of self-sacrifice have inspired countless others to give more of themselves in service to God and humanity. Envelopes are available for the names of our deceased loved ones. Place the envelopes in the box provided by the altar or bring to the Parish Office. There are Masses booked for the month of November: 1st, 10th, 22nd 6pm,24th & 29th at 11:30am.

SECOND COLLECTION LAST SUNDAY- WORLD MISSION SUNDAY – was amounted to £861.72. God bless you for your generosity.

JOB VACANCY- PA to the Parish Priest- Our Lady of Lourdes- Wanstead. The role is to provide administrative support to the Parish Priest by implementing and maintaining office systems, processes and procedures and delivering a welcoming, appropriate service to those making enquiries or attending the parish office. All applicants should have good administrative, social and technical skills. The post will be part-time working 30 hours per week – (working pattern tbc). The salary is £15.45 per hour. The closing date for applications is 10th November 2026 and suitable applicants will be invited to attend an interview on 18th November. READING THE BIBLE THROUGH ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS. Fr Adrian Graffy, parish priest of Gidea Park and member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission, has just published Reading the Bible through Advent and Christmas. This new book includes commentary on all the Scripture readings for Mass throughout these two seasons. FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION 2027. Forms for the First Holy Communion & Confirmation 2027 in our church will be available in December 2026. Please be aware, that we will need a copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate. (FHC children in year 4 in September 2026 and Confirmation youths in year 10 in September 2026).

NATIONAL PILGRIM VIRGIN STATUE VISITATION. On Saturday 31 October 2026, the National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima will be solemnly welcomed at Westminster Cathedral, marking the culmination of a two-year pilgrimage to the cathedrals of England and Wales. This initiative, organised by the World Apostolate of Fatima, commemorates the centenary of the first Pontevedra Apparition on 10 December 1925. In the Dorothean Convent, the Child Jesus and Our Lady appeared to Sr Lucia and renewed the call for the Five First Saturdays Devotion, inviting the faithful to undertake ‘Confession, Holy Communion, the Rosary, and 15 minutes meditation on the mysteries, offered in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
